- 5% of customers get £20
- 1% of customers get £50
Realistically, expect £10 — the £50 is rare. You and your friend both get a reward, paid as real money you can spend, transfer or withdraw straight away. After 100 referrals the reward drops to £5 each.

Your friend has 30 days to do four things: tap the referral link and enter their phone number, download Monzo and sign up using that same phone number, add some money, and pay for something with their Monzo card. There's no minimum payment amount.
Do business accounts get a bigger bonus?
No. You can apply for a current account or a business account through the link, but business accounts are covered by the same random reward table — there is no separate fixed business bonus.
What happens if my friend takes longer than 30 days?
If the person you referred doesn't sign up and make their first payment within 30 days, neither of you gets a reward.
Does the reward change if I refer lots of people?
Yes. After 100 referrals the reward decreases to £5 for both you and the friend you refer.
